We have a whole school approach to the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy. Learning experiences are purposeful, hands-on and targeted to the learning needs of all students. Every lesson begins with a visible, clearly stated Learning Intention and Success Criteria, that makes the objective of the lesson, and what the students need to do to achieve it, explicit and clear.
Assessment is an important part of the teaching and learning process. Timely and relevant feedback is provided to students to ensure they are able to answer the 3 questions of an assessment capable learner – ‘Where am I going? ‘How am I going’ and ‘Where to next’
